I just picked up an 2012 (MY2013) G63.
"Ambient Lighting" is stated as an standard equipment on the brochure, so from the photos it looks quite bright.
I read through the operation manual and the only thing I found about adjusting the brightness was turning the knob on the instrument cluster.
I have set it to the brightest, however the ambient lighting seems to be very dim still, am I doing it wrong? Am I also able to change the color of the light? (Yellow to White?)
Ambient lighting on older cars are very dim. It wasn't until the 2014 S-Class that the trend of turning cars into driving night clubs started. Even then it took some time for the bright ambient lights to roll into the down market models. Only holdout in the MB model range is the C-Class and associated derivatives (GLC).
