Looking to buy new g63 allocation for 5k ADM

I decided to pull the trigger and buy a G63. Im based in New York, and willing to drive a few hundred miles to get one.
Dealers in the area are quoting 10k ADM (Mercedes Brooklyn 50k LOL), but I’m willing to pay 5k. I guess there are plenty of sales people here that are following this forum, so I’m giving it a shot. Shoot me a PM when you can help.

Which dealers are quoting only 10K? usually they'll go down to 5 if you say you'll pay for the car today. Feel free to PM me if it's easier

If you can get one for 10k over, just do it. No one out west will be anywhere close to that.

Allocation should be MSRP these days. The wait times are long so that's why allocations go for less.

Off the lot brand new, $5K over is tough but I think doable if you call enough dealers.

A gaggle of MB's
I hope you know what you are trying to buy... you're looking to "order your G63" right ?

1. So that you know - Sept Production 2021 G63 orders show green on NetStar - which in NetStar/MBUSA language means "changeable" on the Mercedes side - but the Graz factory has already locked the Sept Production orders down for No Changes.

2. There are early-Nov Production 2021 G63 orders that are Legitimate Green - and are changeable - and those are getting booked up fast.

3. Mercedes US will Hold 2021 G63's until they announce Formal 2021 Model Launch - most likely that release will be end-November.

Every dealer in the US knows how many G63's they will receive in thru the end-of-the-year - if a Dealer offered you a November Build at $10K over in Metro NY and will confirm that with a Mercedes PO# now for your rig - then you should take that deal and have that PO# in your hand - that means it's real !

If a MB dealer offered to take your order if you agree to $10K over - and CAN'T GIVE YOU A PO# NOW - that is just sketchy bullsh*t and you won't get a G63 this year.

If you want to shop for $5K over on a G63 order in NY - then make sure you stamp the back of your hand with NEXT YEAR MAYBE

Can you confirm #3 on your list? I have a 2021 G63 on order @ MSRP with a $5k deposit placed last year. My dealer called me saying my order finished production last week and is now "sitting and waiting". I assumed this meant it's waiting for a boat to bring it over but are you saying I'll really be waiting until November? He seemed to think I could have it as early as September? This is my first time ordering through MB so not sure what to expect. Ordering BMW's in the past was such a breeze as it allowed me to track from a-z w/just the order number. Any guidance is greatly appreciated

Now next question is which blue I should get....

I didn't think the '21 builds started until September. As far as I know, your build is either a '20, or your dealer is misleading you. I hope I'm wrong.

I was originally slated for a 2020 but we talked and I decided since the delivery time wasn't going to happen until roughly Oct 2020, I might as well wait for a 2021. At that point, he had me reconfirm the order as a 2021 and said delivery likely wouldn't happen until Dec or Jan of 2021 which was fine. He also told me I was locked into his list of first to get a 2021 allocation once they got them. I got excellent feedback about the dealer from a board member here so I'm crossing my fingers that all goes well.

Can anyone confirm that shipping won't happen until the official release date, even for those special ordered? That makes sense but just hoping against hope that I don't have to wait until Nov if my car is already built? I guess now that I know its "built", the anticipation is really settling in!

Is there any type of number or paperwork I should be asking/looking for outside of the build sheet from when I placed the order?

I seriously doubt it's a 2021 if it's already built. MY21 production is starting in September.

Ask if a VIN number exists yet? I think those only come about when the production is complete. I agree with others, my understanding is MY2021 doesn't start production until September 2020.

They are still building 2020s! The first 2021s will be at US dealers in December, and there is no such thing as a "special order". I ordered mine and it gets in line along with every other one since in reality they are all ordered - from dealers or customers.

Ok, thanks all. Reaching out to my Sales rep tomorrow for clarification.....ugggggh. I'll def be disappointed if it is in fact a 2020 after all the voice and email exchanges we had confirming the 2021 request.

Thanks all, I was able to sync with my sales rep and get the confusion worked out. I got a copy of the PO doc with a assigned prod date of 20/10/2D which should give me an early December delivery. 3 more months! This board is always full of great info!

I don’t know why it took them so long to give you the information, I placed my order for a 2021 G 63 the middle of July and had the information that day. I have the same production date.
