TPMS Inactive message

Well I searched all over but could not find an answer. I had the 2020 G63 22" wheels/tires put on my 2020 G550 that came with 20" wheels/tires yesterday and I am getting the TPMS Inactive message so I cannot reset them. They were new when I bought them from a forum member here so all of them cannot be bad! I went through the owner's manual, etc. and nothing helps - any hints? Is there a fuse possibly? Thanks!

you probably have to register the sensors in the new wheels to the car. Not sure if this can be done without diagnostics equipment (star). Either that or transfer your old sensors to the new wheels.

I will have my Mercedes Indy shop try to sync them up next week when I go back to have the side exit exhaust installed. He tried to scan it in yesterday, the day I picked it up, but it would not pick it up so he said it may not be in the system yet.

Just got home from dropping it off for PPF/ceramic coating and it went away...PFM.

Thanks all and sorry for the false alarm and waster of a thread.

When swithing wheels/TPMS sensors, it usually takes some time for the system to 'discover' the new sensors. I think the newer systems are smart enough to do this automatically, but I've been wrong about what tech should be able to do before.

Yeah, these were totally different sensors albeit Mercedes ones - now I just need to set the new pressures...going to try 40 psi all around (on G63 22" cross-spokes).
