Just wanted to share some pics of the recent work I got done on my G63!
*Ceramic coated (Modesta)
*Xpel Stealth PPF - Entire front end, around windshield, mirrors, front and rear fenders, partial rear bumper and the round edge on the side steps
*Exoshield on windshield
I feel a lot better knowing the truck is protected! Time to enjoy it!
Your not in Los Angeles by any chance are you haha?
Florida...I forgot the CA tax is higher! And I got a real good installer...it would have been less for someone not as good but I would never want that option.

Question: So you have the night-black mango paint, right? I have the same paint and I may do the same PPF as you. I want to know if the part after the Xpel Stealth has any difference with the non-PPF paint? Thanks

Yes, night black mango paint! Definitely use the same Xpel Stealth. I love it. I am contemplating on doing the rest of it! The part after the Xpel Stealth? If you have mango, you should use the Stealth. It's designed for mango finishes.

I mean if the partial paint after PPF matches the non-PPF paint 100%?
Pre-cut kit. I’m actually waiting on the quote for the remainder of vehicle minus the roof. I’ll let you know.
Thanks, please let me know. I received several quotes herein Florida, one is $6000 full wrap for G63 with non-pre cut Xpel Stealth, one is $9000 full wrap with the pre-cut kit.
BTW, I am from China and you know the interesting thing is most of the full G63 wrap by Pre-Cut kit Xpel Stealth is less than $4000 in China, exactly the same certified Xpel and very great installation.
The truck looks spectacular! I have a 2021 G63 with the exact same exterior being built in November and have been researching stuff like PPF, ceramic coating, etc. I got a quote here in South Florida for $2250 for Xpel Stealth PPF (with 10 year warranty) for the full hood, full fenders, full fender flares, mirrors, bumper, grille, lights using pre-cut film so that there's nobody cutting on the surface of the paint. That quote is from the best place in South Florida located in Boca Raton called Auto Supershield. They are who the Ferrari dealerships call to PPF LaFerrari's and really high end cars like that. They do amazing work. The same shop quoted me $1500 for the ceramic coating (with 4 year warranty) so it would cost me $3750 to do both the Xpel Stealth PPF and the ceramic coating on the entire car. Sounds like a fair deal? I think my ceramic coating quote is higher than yours was because yours has the 2 year warranty and mine has the 4 year warranty. I plan on having my truck shipped directly to the shop to get all this stuff done before I drive it and will likely keep it for at least 4 years until the new redesign comes out again. I only drive G's!
BTW what is the Exoshield treatment for the windshield? I haven't heard of that. Might be another thing to consider doing. Please let me know.
Congrats again on your new truck and enjoy it! I will let you know when I receive its twin by year-end hopefully!

Thank you!! Looking forward to see yours! I wanted to switch up my interior but it was too late to change during the build. My headlights also got PPF. Your price is very fair considering your getting bumpers and all fenders done.
I recommend Exoshield! I paid $400. It helps against Stone chips/scratches. It’s a thin film (not noticeable) for the windshield to keep the glass looking new. These windshields are prone to damage. Windshield Replacement for the G is aprox 4k so this is a great investment. I don’t like to alter factory windshields either, never is the same in my opinion.
$3750 for both Xpel and ceramic coating sounds like a fair price. A local place here also quoted $400 for Exoshield. It usually has to be replaced every 2 years or so but it's a film to make the windshield more resistant to damage.
What interior do you have in your truck? Post some photos if you can. What did you want to switch it to if you had been able to? I went with the all black diamond stitch interior in mine with white top stitching as part of the G Manufaktur program. Interior cost is $8050 vs $7200 if not G Manufaktur with the custom stitching. I'm just not a fan of the color red so I didn't go with with the popular red diamond stitched leather. I figure the black leather with the white top stitching will go very well with the all CF interior. Everything will be black and white inside the truck.
Thanks for your valued opinion. I will definitely move forward with the PPF and ceramic coating as soon as the truck arrives. I thought it was a fair price but just wanted to see other G enthusiast's opinions to confirm so.
I may just add the Exoshield for $400. Auto Supershield is a licensed installer of Exoshield as well. In the state of FL your auto insurance automatically has to replace your windshield at no cost to you by law. I checked with State Farm and they confirmed that if my windshield cracks it would be replaced by a Mercedes OEM windshield at no deductible to me. I don't know if all states have this law or not but it seems in FL and with State Farm for your auto insurance you would be fully protected. However, even so, I don't want to deal with a potential cracked windshield as it would be a headache so for $400 I will just get the Exoshield done while it's at the shop getting PPF and ceramic.
Thanks again, Nik!

Yup, Florida is one of a handful of states (Arizona, Kentucky, Massachusetts, South Carolina) where windshield replacement is by law $0 for anybody with comprehensive insurance. One of the few things I miss about living in Florida aside from no state income tax haha.

So, in your opinion, should I skip the Exoshield as I'd be covered for free anyway? Or would you add it for $400 just to (hopefully) not have to be bothered with the nuisance of a cracked/chipped windshield?
I'm with you on the no state income tax! Haha that's key! Where do you live now?
I lived in Jacksonville for 6 years before moving back to NC where I grew up.
It's tempting to skip since it's free in Florida. The only question I have is would your insurance company get mad over time if you have a lot of replacements since they are still picking up the tab despite your zero deductible.
May be worth doing since it's only $400. I'm definitely going to do it since I actually just had to replace my Rover's windshield last week after getting a golf-ball sized crack on the highway.
