analog TeleAide disable help
Anyone have any documentation to describe the correct disable procedure for the my old now defunct Teleaide system. I have the SOS warning on the MFD after I disconnected and tossed the old phone connector.

You need someone with a Star SDS system (dealer or good Indie mechanic) to turn off the Teleaide warning/system, a simple and easy process. In theory, you could remove the Teleaide module, but you would need a D2B fiberoptic bypass loop (if you can even find one these days) or the audio, phone, and voice control systems will cease to function.

Luckily there one indy here in Durango with Star but I was hopeful that I might be able to give them some guidance as they said they have done this particular procedure on this vehicle before. It is a fairly intuitive process? My reading has me believe there is multiple incorrect ways to execute once you are plugged in.

My new Star system is not here yet (the old one was destroyed when the basement flooded), but try this link: http://www.mercedesmedic.com/teleaid...s-bnez-solved/ The W463 should program like the W203 from which the G "borrowed" most of its interior systems.
"Model 203, 209, 210 C CLK E Class: In Star Diagnosis:Control Units –> Information and communication –> ICM – Instrument cluster with maintenance interval display –> Troubleshooting by means of complaints or symptoms –> Messages from the emergency call system are displayed in the instrument cluster."
