Help getting the air intake grill removed.

Hey all,

I've noticed that the grill on the bonnet that covers the air intake has dulled quite a bit. I'd like to take it off to give it a quick coat of paint. I've looked at the bolts (or screws or tabs) and have tried to remove them - no such luck. Does anyone know what the procedure is to remove these things?

Thanks!

They look like pop rivets/plastic panel clips. Push out the center cylinder part (make sure not to loose them, or buy new clips) and the outer surround part should be able to come out easy by pinching the bottom fingers and pushing out.

Or use a pick and push the centre pin up. Either way as mentioned above - don't loose them.

I managed to remove seven of the pins/rivets. However, three are blocked by a long piece of metal that spans the width of the hood. Any ideas on how I may be able to reach them, or is there a way to remove the rivets from the top?
