G Wagon Rust

I'd love to start a class action against them. This is obviously a serious problem and there is simply no way it's no different than other typical late model cars. Browsing the this thread and the thread I made show that there are a ton of late model G's with this problem. What year and how many miles does it have? Is it garage kept? Where do you live (what climate is the car subject to)?
When I wash mine, I typically avoid washing the roof to prevent moisture buildup. I also treat the roof with WD-40 anti-corossive and open the roof in my dehumidified garage to dry it out.
I just found another oxidation area on my driver door sill. Luckily it's very tiny (pea sized) so hopefully the body shop can nail it before it becomes a problem. I'm going to repair the rust around the windscreen in the next month or so. I got a stone chip and a hair-line crack on my windscreen, so I might as well fix the rust when I replace the glass.

wondering what year and if its garage kept :O
I have 2 commercial grade fans (1 for roof and 1 for under the truck) now with a humidifier in my garage just because of the thread.

My 2019MY is parked outside 24/7 in a cold winter environment for 6 months of the year. 13 months in and there’s zero rust, nothing.

That is not surface rust, it’s the pin inside the hinge likely rusting a bit. I’m not sure what can be done, other than perhaps spraying something to try to reduce it.
I will ask my master AMG tech what to put on the hinges, if anything, to try to prevent more.
