Have you ever experienced flared fenders get a beating from other (may be jealous?) folks parking next to you? I always park at bigger spot with plenty of space on both sides even then this happened — clearly someone smack open the door and scratched...good thing that ppf got the beating and protected the paint.

I had a similar experience when my truck was one week old. I happened to be sitting in it waiting for my wife when an elderly lady pulled in beside me and opened her door against the truck with a distinct thud. Luckily the door hit the running board and did no damage. You've got to pick your parking spots.

The running board protects the g really well. With fenders more flared than g550/500 I wonder if more folks had issues with these getting beating or not.

Oof sorry that happened but glad you got the PPF in place. That's not a bad idea to get PPF on the fender flares--thanks for the tip.
I had seen in reviews that most vehicles would hit the running boards which is good. I'm pretty paranoid with how I park no matter the vehicle but the G will take this to another level.

FWIW: In addition to other ares, I did wrap the front fender flares and the outside edge of the running boards for this reason.

Are you sure that's from a door? It doesn't look like damage a door would do...looks more like rock damage. If it's on the front facing park of the rear fender, then it could be rocks kicked up by the front wheels. My rear fenders get blasted by the front wheels. Good thing I got the PPF'd as well.
