You would have to paint it, which would be easy to do and if could not find your color in a rattle can you could get an exact match from automotivetouchup. com. If so I will throw in a new/never used rattle can of clear coat.

I have had a few people ask me lately about getting one of these so here is the information: It was made by Yofab (https://www.yofab.com/collections/custom-emblems) and it can be made in any size and materials. They will supply a template with it but they can also make it ready to apply for an additional cost, which I would recommend if you have no experience applying them; however, if you take your time and measure correctly it should not be a problem. I attached what they came up with for me based on my request. Contact them directly at info@yofab.com

Bob,
Not sure how many times you have washed your truck after applying the emblem? Are they on there pretty good using the double face supplied from Yofab?
I was wondering about the 2 small dots on top of the letter “a” may come off easily because of minimal tape on them because of their size.

Thanks

They are on there very well! Mine was ceramic coated beforehand and they are still not budging. I am careful when cleaning around it, and all the other emblems since I changed the rest, too. But they did include a couple of extra dots!

If it sticks on ceramic coated paint strongly then I have more confident that it will work as planned 👍.

Just curious, do you have paint protective film under that ceramic coating?

Also, are you quite impressed with the ceramic coating? Is it really worth the costs ?

No PPF under the emblem but I am extremely happy with the ceramic coating. I have used it for a while (OptiCoat Pro) and currently have it on my Porsche and G - love it and it cleans up easily with ONR (Opti No Rinse) or just a hose if it gets real dirty. Basically, it is like putting a real good wax on that you do not have to redo for years, depending on the abuse it is subjected to. And it cost me $1k for the entire G.

What is your reasoning for not doing the PPF ?
Mine was the price they wanted and the likelihood of removing parts and panels to do the entire truck correctly.

Does the 1K include the periodic maintenance visits for “recharging/boost” in between for the warranty to be effective?

Anything cons or negative you have experienced with the coating?

I may have to revisit this idea of ceramic coating 😁

I had PPF applied on all of the forward-facing areas to include the hood and front fenders - I had no reason to have it put on the back. It does not include any maintenance but I use ONR all the time, which is good enough for me, and it is not required for warranty items. I see zero negative reasons for doing it other than the cost for some but that was not a concern for me since it saved me the trouble of waxing it!
