Actually Bob - there is "Concept Platform" for platform development in that direction - think of the Platform today as a Open-Top-Defender/Rat-Rod/Crazed-Lunar-Rover - there are some amazing things that are yet to be done with Electric I-4WD thinking beyond the box with precision and reactive control of the on-demand torque at each wheel combined with electronic control of the brakes at each wheel...I mean it crazed stuff already

i wouldnt want them to produce a stripped down, attainable G model... that would dilute the model’s stigma. Electric may be cool in time... wouldnt stop me from getting one. i love making the G a sub brand.

If I could do this for $25k or less I'd do it in a heartbeat. Need some big company to start making electric retrofit kits!

For this sub-brand I would do a heritage model (pre-2019) that's slanted towards off-roading and less luxury, the current models, and a top model slanted towards luxury over speed/offroading.
I would not do a smaller model, etc to go down market--that's what the GLK/GLC/GLB boxy designs are for.
