Question 2017 W463 - P0185 Code

Hi All,

I just got a check engine this week and I am planning on taking it to get serviced very soon however, does anyone have any insight as to the P0185 code on the 2017 W463. It is showing as a Fuel Temperature Sensor 'B' Circuit Malfunction.

The funny thing is that it was on for a day or two and then turned back off but back on again.

I cannot find anywhere on the web where this sensor is located. The closest thing I can think of is around the fuel pump. I was hoping to inspect it before taking it in and just see if it's loose or leads just need cleaning. If it is on the fuel pump I will just wait for the dealer to inspect it.

Not sure about this, but the logical location for a fuel temp sensor would be in the engine area on the intake manifold or fuel injector rail where temperature is measured to assist in regulating injector timing. Sounds like a good job for the dealer's service tech.
