Tire Cover Ding

Hey guys, noticed a small ding on tire cover by edge of wheel. 2020 G63. Has any anyone taken dings out for wheel cover? is it thin enough for me to pop out myself from other side? heard these wheel covers can dent easy, super thin

Get you local PDR shop to remove it! I have used one a couple of times before and it is amazing what they can do, for not much coin.

I would not recommend you pushing out yourself. A paintless dent removal (PDR) shop should be able to do it for anywhere between $100-300 IMO.

May be it’s relevant to this thread.. I had the mb workshop fix a rear right flat tire then went on to the road trip to Lake Tahoe. Next day noticed that middle cap with star logo is gone, just on that wheels but the rest were ok, so it wasn’t stolen. Had it replaced as a courtesy by the mb workshop but wanted you all to be aware. It seemed like it was on tight but may be not. It’s expensive part

What fell off is not what comes off when you remove the wheel. Sounds to me like the dealership caused it, and they (kind of) admitted it by giving you a new one.

yep the whole thing comes off and the assembly is like $1200, doesn’t come in pieces, that’s what I was told. Net net, they took care of it..

Good that they took care of it. We should all check ours to ensure that cap is not loose.
They inflated the cost though, no way that’s $1200. Maybe for 4...
