Aftermarket Winter Rim & Tire Set

I have a 2021 G63 arriving any day now and am looking for a winter rim and tire set. Any recommendations? Mercedes official set is sold out for the season.

Boston has had heavy snow in recent years as I recall, so winter snow tires are probably a better choice than a snow rated allterrain. I like Blizzaks but I've heard Nokians are good also. The decision shouldn't be too hard since there's limited choice in 22". I would stick with the OE size or lesser width (285). If you expect to be forging your way through deep snow, wide tires increase rolling resistance and seem tougher to steer, while not giving back much in increased traction. Wide/oversize tires also throw more gravel, and clog up wheel wells more easily. For wheels I'd go with a simple radial spoke that sheds snow easily. I had a BMW with OE basket weave alloys that collected and kept snow. It doesn't take much to throw the balance off and create some bad shimmy even at low speeds.
Bottom line - performance and safety outweigh looks.
