Heated steering wheel fault G350d 2019

Here in the U.K. it’s starting to drop cold and so we’ve been using the heated steering wheel more frequently.
when you twist the stalk on/of the red light comes on and goes off as expected as does the info on the dash to inform of current status. However sometimes it heats up and other times it does not.
Just thought I’d put this out there in case anybody hasn’t really used theirs much... give it a few tests and prepare for the cold...

Let me know how things go for you. Now that I am no longer living in LA i've been looking to get my steering wheel heater to work.
When I turn the stock, the light goes on, then off. From what I've read it relates to the temperature sensor in the dome light assembly.
I may take mine off this afternoon and give it a look, hopefully it's pretty straight forward for you at the MB dealership.

Because of the current state here with COVID etc the dealership cancelled and gave only that as a reason - sigh! Waiting to get booked in once again. Hopefully soon, I’ll definitely keep you all posted on this one. Typically it worked 3/3 times today!
