Drop Down Tailgate Table

Does anyone have experience with installing this Front Runner drop down tailgate table on their G:

If not, does anyone have any suggestions for a similar style table that can be affixed to the inside of the trunk door?

I have not done so yet, but was considering the same in the future. There are more people over on the Clubwagen forum that have done mods like this.

I went with the under-rack camping table setup: Under Rack Stainless Steel Camping Table
Works pretty well and gives you LOTS of table space for cooking/eating. The only downsides:
  1. Pretty high up, a little tricky to store and take out the table, gotta line it up just right
  2. One of the main origins for rattles when going over rough terrain
  3. Have to install BEFORE you mount the rack, or take off the rack to install

Here is a photo sample

OP, I just had this installed at my local adventure outfitter. Not for everyone since the internal door knob is now not functional but can’t remember ever using it anyhow . The foldout table is really solid and I do think it will have no problem holding the weight of normal use. I have also installed the fridge on the passenger side on a slide out and it works nicely. Hope this helps.
