I have a 19G and need a little more noise. Got the Renntec system that keeps flaps open. Nothing special. Any advice much appreciated

I'm thinking downpipes or the Fabspeed system seems to be a nice option. Would be interested in your Renntech module if you end up going a different route.

I went for the Akrapovic exhaust and link pipes, the sound is immense! It’s the link pipes that really makes the difference..

My advice is have some consideration for others who desire a little less noise, whether it's coming from your exhaust pipes or choice of audio soundtrack.

I don't think there is a G on the planet that is louder than the 1000s of Harleys roaming the streets. And yes, I have a Harley, which sounds great, but not loud like almost every other one!

I'm very pleased with the sound of the Fi-Exhaust I installed on my wife's '20 G63. Here is a clip with valves closed and then open. I hadn't installed the tips yet since they were at powdercoating, so this isn't the final look of the system.

Why don’t you try removing the secondary cats? I did on my Gtr and no problems. A little more sound and more poops on downshift.

This is a great route to go on the biturbo amg motors, sounds awesome just heard it recently in person on a gle63s (2019) owner showed me underneath and it sounded much better then factory. I'll be going this route when my truck is delivered.

Bob Z, I have a 2020 G550 with the AMG Sport exhaust but of course that doesn't come with the extended tips. I really like the G63 extended tips look so my goal is to add something like that for my car. I'm not really worried about more sound but that could be a plus. I'm thinking I could purchase the OEM G63 mufflers and just install them. I think that's cheaper than buying any aftermarket mufflers. Did you do that and is there any additional tuning that will need to be done? I'm thinking it's just a simple take off/put on.

I bought take-off G63 mufflers from a member here who put the Akra exhaust on and since you have the sport exhaust on your G550 you would do the same thing albeit you would have to buy the mufflers if you cannot find someone here to sell them to you. No cutting is required and you simply unbolt yours and move the actuators from your mufflers to the G63 mufflers, and buy the rear hangers, which are part #s 463-490-05-02 and 463-490-06-02 (item 8 on the diagram) and four of 901-492-00-44 (item 9). No tuning is needed nor are any CELs generated. Based on the change in sound this is the best mod IMO one can do to the G550 for street use as the lower tips off-road may be too low for some.
