2004 G500 Climate Control System Not Working

2004 G500 Climate Control System Not Working
HI guys, my 2004 G500 climate control system is acting up. Pretty much won't do anything. The blower is audibly working, but there is no air flow from any of the upper vents. There is air coming down near the footwell but I can't tell if it's coming from any vents. The buttons on the control panel are responsive because I am able to adjust the speed of the blower with the panel controls. What would block or stop my upper vents from opening?
I recently took the center console apart to tighten a steel cable/fastener assembly to get rid of a very annoying squeak. I got rid of the squeak but the vents stopped working... I suppose maybe I left something unplugged, but I am usually pretty good about tidying up my work...
ANY advice from another DIYer would be appreciated :-)
