windshield wipers

does anyone else think the windshield wipers are TERRIBLE in the winter. Ice up and dont clear window well. Max defrost bakes you in the car!!. No other wipers are available to purchase that would be better. anyone have any thoughts.
Unfortunately live in winter wonderland!!

You don’t have to use OE Benz wipers. It’s a size 16 j-hook, rather simple connection. Nearly any brand and option will fit.

My 2019 G has MB's proprietary connector that aftermarket brands can't adapt to. Which MYs use the "J" hook? Maybe I can retrofit a set of wiper arms so that aftermarket brands are an option.

I’m on the same boat, my 2019 has a proprietary connector. Has anyone found a solution to using non-OEM wiper blades?
Bought some Michelin’s from Costco but wasn’t able to get them to connect.

I looked into this about 18 months ago and found no direct replacements. RainX blades can be made to fit with a small modification. See my posts at https://mbworld.org/forums/g-class-w...ld-wipers.html
I was thinking about changing out the wiper arms to pre-2019 J-hook type, but haven't pursued this yet, nor confirmed that the wiper arm yokes are the same size. Everybody seems to patent these new ww attachment mechanisms, so it's uncertain if a direct fit will be available anytime soon.
