Need Help with 2007 Command Removal

Need Help with 2007 Command Removal

Hi all, I am looking to get to the back of my 2007 command unit. As some may know, the 2007 was a strange year for the command unit, a transition year unlike most years, so the instructions online do not match up with this configuration.

Any experience or advice is appreciated. Picture attached.
I don't see any screws on the bottom of the HVAC control and the top of the command feels pretty secure. Pulling aggressively did not do much.

Should be 2 screws below HVAC. Then remove HVAC. Once done should see 2 screws under COMAND.

Do you recall where the torx screws are at on the hvac controls?

IIRC it's similar to the w211 videos like this.

Once you have the ashtray out you kind of have to contort yourself on the floor to see the lower screws on the AC control.

Then you yank directly out, I yanked on an angle and one of my plastic clips broke, but on reassembly it all went back together pretty snug.

I'd suggest a plastic interior tool kit like this if you don't have one, makes prying a lot less sketchy.
