Fault Code P06DA00

Had the check engine light on for a couple of months now. Truck runs absolutely fine with the exception of a handful of some sporadic moments where the whole dash lights up and even though the car would still drive fine, a lot of electric related functions get disabled. A simple shut off and restarting always seemed to solve the issue. But it was evident something was wrong somewhere in the cars electric system. I changed the Auxiliary battery months ago but the CEL still came back. Drove with it till now without any issues.

Anyways, Finally had some time to run diagnostics and Got the Fault Code P06DA00 "The actuation of of the oil pump valve in the combustion engine has an open circuit or other eLectric fault".
From research and videos on youtube its a known problem with some mercedes. And the culprit seems to be the Oil Pump Control Solenoid Valve coming loose and loosing connection sporadically.
Anyone got this issue? How difficult is it to get to this valve?

In process of getting this fixed on my 2018 GLE 63S Coupe. They had to pull the engine out to remove the oil pan to get to the oil pump valve.

They sometimes do it without removing the engine, but dropping the subframe too. But regardless the oil pan has to come off.

in my case 2016 GLC300 the wiring harness which is connected to the valve was damaged, there are green and yellow wires in this harness, yellow one was disconnected/ripped. Changed the harness code A 274 150 86 02, bought in local mb dealer for about 30$. FYI this fault code does not cause check engine light, check engine light has to be because of some other issue

I would like to thank whichever person mentioned the battery change on this forum. I have a 2012 C class and had my engine light with with fault code and 2 others. I then had a look to see my car still had its factory battery which has had it. So before spending a ridiculous amount on fixing it thought I would give it a go and all codes have cleared after driving it for 10 minutes. 100% give the battery a go if you have this code.
