Little shock/stabilizer behind engine mount -- What is it?

Just got a 2011 G55K with 49k kms (30k miles) and dealer told me front left shock was blown. So before I even got the SUV delivered, I order new front Bilsteins.
Yesterday I go to change them, notice they're completely fine. So I look around and found out little shock behind motor mount that's actually blown.

Does anyone know what they're used for and what is the part #? It's made by Stabilus
Pics of good and bad one attached

i haven't seen that before but my guess is its a vibration damper augmenting motor mount bushings. Nice over-engineering by MB to isolate engine noise/vibration from the chassis...
