Oh man! If I'm back in LA by September me and the misses will definitely be joining!

We're both waiting to hear back from different offers, if she gets her offer I'll just work remote for Microsoft down there.

Looks amazing.

Only one piece of equipment is really required to join in on the fun at the G Wagon Rally and that is a G Wagon! Over the next few weeks we will begin to post some photos and links to products that will make your weekend at the Rally much easier! The first one being a real tow hook with a clevis. Other participants will have a tow rope with, but they need something they can connect to your G quickly and firmly. The receiver hooks will break. Invest a few dollars in something like this that goes into your receiver hitch with a clevis to connect to a tow rope.

Clevis Shackle Hitch Hook Receiver with 3/4 Clevis Shackle Hitch Hook Receiver with 3/4" D Ring

Now the next important thing. Let's talk communications! At the G Wagon Rally it is ideal to have a radio so that you can accurately hear and communicate with the others on the tour. Radios are a big subject, and you can really get into it, but at the end of the day we are just a bunch of kids playing walkie talky while driving in the desert. The most basic and economical version of radio that we can recommend is the Baofeng. It can be purchased on Amazon for $25 and it will do everything you need to do at the G Wagon Rally. Will link below. The BEST Radio can be purchased from TTG Communications in Las Vegas. Terry is a long time G Wagon enthusiast and an absolute expert on radio communication devices. He carries the Hytera brand that is top notch. (link below. Finally, if you are going to be doing a fair amount of off-roading and want the longest range radio, built into your truck we would recommend the ICOM brand (link below). If you have any questions feel free to PM me.
