Crazy Wheel Shipping Prices

I just bought a set of factory G55 wheels that I have to cancel the order on. The seller and myself figured around $200 total to ship from LA to Philly. That is what it has been for years. He got estimates (so did I via web tools) for no less than $150 per wheel. Yikes. Is this a covid thing?

Shipping in general is still pretty crazy. A lot better than this time last year, but the whole system is in shock.

Here's a set local to the the NYC area from a ClubWagen forum member if they fit what you're looking for:

NP! I've exchanged lots of PMs with him over the past year. I wanted to pick them up but A) Don't have the space, B) Have a ton of things that need to be purchased before another set of wheels, and C) I only need 1 or 2 wheels to use for spares.

All that free Amazon Prime shipping gets paid for elsewhere.

haha! Certainly seems true!

The seller at clubg suggested to use GOShare.com which seems to be reasonable for short distance, same-day hauls. $210 for the wheels from NJ to PA, around a 2 hour drive.

Are you shipping them with tires? If just the wheels (2 per box) and UPS *usually* has the cheapest rates
