I'd love to see that but personally it's a stretch IMO.

Bumping this.
Any idea on 2022 trajectory for values? I'm on the fence. Not interested in post face-lift, too expensive and too much work to obtain. Not sure what I can replace the 2018 G63 with that will give me the same level of pleasure, but if values are at peak maybe sell?

Totally random, and way different than a G Wagon, but the RAM TRX is a stupid fun truck. I've got my second one coming next week. They are a ton of fun to drive, and the interior on the loaded models is as a nice as any new luxury car.

G65 is the only place to go from pre-19 G63, assuming you want to stay G Wagon. Or were you thinking about switching types of vehicle completely while G prices are high? If that's the case you are going to be running into the problem of buying whatever that vehicle is at a high price as well. Everything is up to an extent.

No other vehicle in mind, one of the reasons I am hesitant is where do I go from the G? Your point is exactly why I still have mine. The emotional feel the G provides I doubt can be matched. However if values continue to climb, selling might be attractive. I got a pretty good deal on mine, it was one of the last 18's they had and before everything got crazy.
I think if you're not exactly looking to replace your 2018 G63 right now, it would be a good opportunity to sell. Prices are at an all time high and the crazy demand for the 2019+ models has funneled down to the W463 models, especially late years and AMG models. You could pocket that chunk of change and put it into another fun car or other 'investments' and pick up a G65 or another G63 down the road when the prices settle in a year or 2 for maybe 20-30k less than what you sell for. That is, if that 20-30k is worth the price of not having the G for a year or 2. I would hesitate to go from a G into another luxury SUV as you'd be buying at the top of the market and you'd have to eat depreciation, which the G was always pretty good about. Now if that all plays into a business car and that whole financial side, that's a different story.

As for the financial side, I did a 179 so some taxes would be involved.
