New years prices?
Just had a ring from my dealership to let me know the vehicle I ordered and have put a deposit on back in May has now become more expensive. I had a read through the terms and conditions and it doesn't mention anywhere that if parts become more expensive or the whole vehicle price becomes higher I would need to pay the difference. I have a signed contract with a price on it at the front.
Has anyone had this before? I am tempted to play their bluff and challenge it. I don't see how they could increase my G Wagon now that I am expecting delivery in February, he basically mentioned, accept the new price or withdraw your deposit.

Dealerships are doing this as a normal practice now because of the demand for the new G class. With supply constraints and limited supply, as well as MB not producing v8 engines in 2022, the demand for the new G has gone through the roof. They're probably trying to get you to pay a market adjustment since the normal now is $25-50k on a G550 and $50-100k on top of MSRP for a G63 and they have no reason to accept a sale at MSRP if they feel they can get out of the contract you signed. Sorry for the situation but that is the world now and dealerships suck.
