Automatic shift into park when turning off car
I just had my SAM module changed in my 2016 G550. I could have sworn that the car would automatically switch into Park as soon as I turned it off (now only shifts to neutral). It will shift into Park only after the door is opened. I believe prior to taking it to the dealer it would automatically switch into park even before the door was open.
So before: Car in drive....turned car off and pulled out key (door still closed)...car would switch into park.
Now: Car in drive....turned car off and pulled out key (door still closed)...car swtiches into neutral...open door and car switches into park.
I noticed this change because today the car suddenly started rolling....and I noticed it was in neutral.
Just wondering what happens in your cars?
