How to remove EIS module?
I have an intermittent starting issue where I turn the key into the spring loaded position and the starter does not crank. I suspect the EIS board needs to be resoldered. What is the easiest way to access this part?

I went to an indy shop with an Autel Maxisys scanner and they couldn't fix the problem. They said circuit 50 is not switching but don't know why. According to this video it means implausible park signal or DAS module communication issue.
There are four error codes:
B1315-009 (Airbag) Passenger occupancy sensor faulty
B1003 (Front SAM) Heating water circulation pump open/short circuit
B1054 (Rear SAM) Left stop lamp open/short circuit
B1207 (Front right door control module) Switch lamp short circuit
I'll take it to the dealership for diagnosis as I cant find anyone with a STAR diagnostic tool that's available this month.

The front SAM is notoriously prone to water damage from leakage around the wiper bushings. Drop the SAM and inspect it for signs of water damage/corrosion.
It is common for fluids to get spilled into the transmission shift module on the center console. This could give rise to an "implausible park signal" error. You may be able to pull it and clean things out if there are signs of foreign fluids (Starbucks lattes, Mickey D's Coca-Cola, Scotch, whatever), but often, the damage is done.

I fiddled with the shift interlock cable and it starts every time now! If the issue comes back I'll try cleaning the connectors with Deoxit.

The water/SAM issue is fairly easy. There are rubber washers/gaskets on each wiper hub where they come through the body. Replace them every few years and make sure the hub nut is tight.

Would you happen to know the p/n for those washers?

Can you elaborate on what you did with the shift interlock cable to make the issue go away? Thanks!
