PY21W for 1156 Socket?

I've replaced all the incandescent bulbs on my G-class with LED modules with varying degrees of success. The OXILAM PY21W bulbs for the front and rear turn signals are AMAZING. Super bright, no codes and a super crisp amber color. Problem is, every other OXILAM bulb is pretty mediocre as are most that I've tried. the 1156 bulbs I've purchased, for example, either output only slightly more light than stock halogen or, when fitted to the brake light modules, always flash a code and output only marginally more light. I've tried literally a dozen different makes of bulbs and none can come close to the light output of those PY21W OXILAMs.

Is there a way to modify the base, or is there some kind of adaptor, for PY21W to 1156 or 1157 sockets?

As incredible as this may sound, state and federal motor vehicle regulatory agencies take the position that vehicle lighting is about safety, not about looking cool, impressing your friends, or annoying other motorists. If an LED lamp has an incompatible base with the application you want to use it for, likely there's an electrical or legal reason for it. Making your taillights and brake lights super bright might sound like a good idea until the annoyed motorist behind you happens to be a state trooper.
Why does this matter? You can't see your own taillights from the driver's seat.

Should have been more clear:

I want very bright bulbs for the (single) reverse lamp and fog lamp. The reverse lamp in particular is very dim, and the fog light is used only in adverse weather where visibility is important. I need good LED bulbs for the brake lights that do not flash codes, or intermittently go dark, when the brakes are applied.

This is probably the best you will do for a backup light. You could probably red tint a second one for the rear fog.
