2002 Ownership Update
The car has been in the shop for 2 scheduled maintenances. It has 18k miles on it and I've owned it for 30 months. It has also been in for 2 unscheduled maintenances.
Unscheduled #1: Front passenger door and rear door sensors failed and the truck complained about these 2 doors being open even when they were closed tight. Repaired.
At Scheduled maintenance #1 the following additionla repairs were made: Front drivers side window crooked, did not close without help. Rear door latch replaced because it would lock spontaneously.
Unscheduled #2: Rear latch replaced again because the truck thought it was open again. Drivers side window failed completely. Replaced.
At Scheduled #2 the following additional repairs were made: Rear latch replaced again due to spontaneously locking problem again. Spare tire cover lock replaced due to corrosion. Spare tire cover adjusted due to noise. Transfer case motor replaced because vehicle could not be shifted from high to low and according to dash readout, was stuck in neutral (not true). Steering damper replaced which greatly reduced steering wheel jiggle over large bumps. Serious squeak fixed behind dashboard on passenger side. Another door sensor was replaced because once again, the truck thought it was open even when tightly shut.
Despite these problems, and all the error messages generated on the dash readout, we love this truck and always miss it when its in for service; and the dealer has been great.

I saw your pic at 4runner.com. Those are amazing pics. I thought people bought G will only take it to mall
G is very nice. I just don't see myself spending 80k-90k on a car. So I am thinking of getting a 03, 04 or 05 when the price is around 45k. At the same time, I don't want to be fixing it all the time.
