G55 not starting, Help Pls
Good Day all
I am new to this thread, recently bought a 2011 G55 with 65k miles on. great condition. It was running beautifully until this morning. I went out started the car, walked into the house to grab something and when i came out the engine was dead. Tried starting it again, nothing.
had my mechanic come over and he checked the errors, Camshaft position sensor issue, he changed it, still nothing. He reckons the car seems to have no compression so he pulled a plug and reckons there is no compression.
My question here is, if the crak sensor is faulty will the affect the compression. also he seems to think it may be the timing chain. if this is the case how bad are we talking here. i have done about 1000 miles on the car since i got it.
can anyone help me with this issue.

Very little chance that the timing chain jumped a tooth while just idling unless it was in major need of service (very unlikely). They will need to check compression with a compression tester, there is no "He thinks there is no compression". There will be a reading on cylinder compression.
What is the behavior when you try to start it? Does it crank and never even attempt to catch?
Fuel, Air, Spark, those are your 3 things you need to check.
