2015 G550 vs 2016 G550 for an overland build?

Hey everyone, I'm in the market for a G550 to replace my 4Runner as my overlanding vehicle and could use some input. I'm trying to decide if I should go with the naturally aspirated 5.5L V8 in the 2015 or the 4.0L biturbo V8 in the 2016.

Here is my thought process. Please let me know if there is anything you would add.

2015
- Less expensive
- Fewer things to break
- Probably less picky when it comes to fuel
- Slightly better approach angle
- 29 gallon gas tank (Also seeing it listed as 25.4?)

2016
- A lot more power, which will be nice with all the accessories and larger tires I'll be adding
- Much more attractive front bumper (in my opinion)
- Slightly better city gas mileage
- Faster

What would you pick?

G550 would be my choice. 385hp is plenty of power, especially with the 7-speed auto. Still needs premium, but you can get away with regular in a bind.

The simplicity of NA is a big plus for me. FI - especially the Hot-V turbo scares me.

IF you wanted to do a winch bumper ( AFN or others) the 4.0 is out.... the extra HP might be nice but frankly I'm putting some of my HP mods on hold for a bit with the height and tire changes I've made...

What are your build plans ? Coming from many Toyota builds as well, you'll find aftermarket support very lacking for many things, and almost all mods are 2-3X given lower volumes and the AMG tax...

that said - they're great trucks for overlanding with a bit of work... When we looked to replace our totalled G63 I considered both of these, but my build thoughts led me to a G55 for the 113k motor and ability to have a real winch bumper... the interior and tech are certainly a step back in time but have grown on me.....
