New To me G550 Squared

Hello all I have a new to me 2018 G550 with <20K miles. It is in incredible condition the previous owner never took it off road and that will soon change. The end goal is to turn it into a sort of expedition vehicle that will take me to long range precision rifle matches. I also have a 2020 AMG GT R and I look forward to enjoying this G wagon very much.

Gorgeous!!! Now let's see your PRS rig(s). That'll be my next pew pew venture after years of 2 and 3 gun.

Thanks! I'll have to take pics I am not a very arts and crafts kind of guy. My current favorite non match rife is my Barrett MRAD. I got it on a whim awhile back and it has been incredible. I shoot it mostly with 300 win mag and 300 PRC I want to start on the 6.5 Creedmoor soon.

Nice taste! I'm tossing around the idea of a 6.5CM vs a .300 Win Mag in likely a Ruger PR to test the waters.

If you have time behind the 300 win mag got for it. The Ruger should help with the recoil management. 6.5CM is a really promising round. If I weren't so accustomed to 300 win mag I'd have just gone .300 PRC. I have all the reloading stuff set up for 300 win mag so it works for me. Good luck!

Where do you do your 3 gun? My gal is a British lawyer living here with me and she loves shooting and has been interested in getting into 3 gun competition. She is 5'9 127 lbs and extremely athletic and competitive. I am tired of her whoppin my *** on the range I need her to shift her focus to other people.

.308 is the largest rifle round I currently have so either would be adding a new pill to the inventory. I like the "bigger is better" idea of .300WM but 6.5CM looks fantastic on paper and I'm sure my shoulder would appreciate it.

I shot 3 gun in a few outdoor circuits here in the Cincinnati area. We had a now defunct indoor range that hosted 2 gun (rifle and pistol) on their huge range in the winters which was a great way to keep some trigger time during the colder months but it has been about 4 years since I've done any shooting and moving. Even in my early(ish) 30's my knee enjoys stretching the legs on my Mk12 a lot more.
