Has anyone ever seen exhaust / muffler tips like the ones on the enclosed pics? Every time I see stock side exhaust tips they seem to be round, but these "look to be" genuine, but appears as if they came from the 80s on a sedan (W124). Just wondering if these have any value to them or not as I'm considering replacing the entire exhaust system and want to make sure I don't throw away something that may be of value to someone else. These are connected to a center exhaust (original Mercedes unit). Yes, they are not correctly mounted as the spacing is off on both sides. Just one of the many things that needs to be looked at on this vehicle.
That was my first thought, but when I looked into those, I found that each of the two sides is different, and in this case, both tips are identical. Besides this, it seems as if the Y pipe would be factory. Certainly not to the level I'm used to seeing down here and as seen in other places in this truck. The search continues...
These look like the first generation G55 tips that have been fitted retrospectively. The square G55 tips were the only AMG G to have square tips. All the others were round afaik.

Great! I was under the impression that I had the 2002 G brochure (which shows round tips), but just realized that it has info for the G55K, not the G55, so obviously the PDF that I have (thinking it was 2002) is from another year (05+). Now to find a 2002 G brochure where I can see these squared tips on a G55. Thank you very much!! Finally found more evidence that these are in fact 2000-2004 G55 tips. Thanks!
