I'm ready to take it

Hey all,

Finally, I have decided to purchase a g class!

I have some questions for you in order to understand what configuration I must choose.

G500 vs G63
I'm more oriented towards G500 mainly because I do not drive particularly fast and here in Switzerland, we have speed limits that you need actually to respect. So, it does not make too much sense to buy G63. I understand that it does have a way greater cool factor, but I don't care.

Also, correct if I'm wrong, G500 it is also more comfortable to drive, right? If so, it is very noticeable? But, I was reading here on forum, that the G63 it's more safe to drive on the highway than the G500, because of the AMG setup. Is that true? I actually do 10-15 hours on highway per week, so it is important for me.

Is there any difference in the interior between the two versions? Which one is more comfortable?

Looking forward to hearing your opinions and advices of any kind. Thanks

Mercedes Benz G500
G500 has a different suspension setup than the G63 making it more comfortable/les harsh than a G63. If by safe you mean quicker acceleration and braking, then yes, the G63 has more of that over the 500. Interior changes are limited to trim level and badges, otherwise, same vehicle.

So you are not looking to purchase an electric Mercedes anymore?
Why a sudden change of heart? 😉

I had it for some time, the EQS, very cool vehicle, but I just don't like the exterior so I sold it. I still don't get it why they need to sacrifice design for a "better" range, which in the end it is nothing special in comparison with other EV's

I was also speaking about cornering safety. But I guess, no matter the version, you need to take it slowly in the corners.

Great comment. One of the many fallacies regarding EVs. They are lesser cars with lesser capabilities but with higher total lifecycle cost.
