G500 warm starting issue
Just picked up a 2002 g500. I'm working through a few little gremlins. Once the vehicle is at operating temp and the engine is nice and warm it wont start. The strarter will give a tiny little crank then stop.Once the engine is cooler it'll start fine. I also figured out it starts no problem in neutral when warm. I've read a lot about the cam position sensor and was going to do that next but now the neutral thing has me wondering if it's something neutral safety switch related. i did try and replace the relay, It made no difference. Thanks for the help.

cam sensors, crank sensors can give you trouble, usually it'll code and/or misfire before completely stranding you. I had one for many years. Theres a lot of supersticions as to what makes a starter last longer, but that particular one has al ot of work to do.
the 500's were very robust engines, to where people were telling you to stick with them when the M273/550's came out
