G63 Front Bumper - Is it really a bumper?
The front G63 bumper is supported by a metal crossmember that extends the width of the central grille. Then there are the two supports that hold the radiators on the G63s, or metal fillers on the replica kits that tie into the corner of the bumper.
This means the area of the bumper below the headlights where the mesh openings/radiators are is largely weak and unprotected.
I wanted to ask if anyone's had any experience with this, and how sturdy is this area in any direct experience? Probably not very so, and this is why the W464 have the lower brush guard there...
I "upgraded" my G55 with the G63 front bumper and am realizing when having taken everything apart just how gentle and unprotected the front ends of our W463 Gs really are; even the G55 sturdy aluminum bumper only offers moderately more protection.
Thoughts?

Built 2008 G55 & one big 80 Series LandCruiser !
Our G when rear ended and push into the back on a Raptor held up well, but three's little that is structural - as noted there are 7 Ic's, radiators or similar.... that was my motivation to switch for the 55 for our expo build, you can get a winch bumper on it.
The AFN isn't as stout as the ARB 79' series Landcruiser option ( with Gear shop adapter) but it works....
