2013 G63 cannot calibrate distronic plus sensor
Hello, Hope everyone is staying cool this summer!
I have a 2013 G63 with distronic plus (radar cruise control). I had some front-end work done at the Mercedes dealer and they installed a new distronic sensor. They now cannot calibrate it. They thought it was a defective part and replaced it, however same result unfortunately. They blame my lift, wheel & tire setup - 1.25" JWO spacer lift in all 4 corners, 34" BFG KO2s, 1.25" wheel spacers in al 4 corners.
I am in the process of downsizing tires (going to 33") and adding 2" JWO rear springs to 'level out' the truck as the front felt a little nose high to me.
Other than these two, anyone have experience with a malfunctioning radar cruise and recalibrating it?

OK I wanted to follow-up on this issue. After downsizing from the previous 34.1" tires to new 33" tires, distronic plus just automatically started working on its own, despite the dealer claiming that it failed calbiration. Speedo is off by 6% with the 33" tires, and my best guess is that that variance is within acceptable tolerance while previously with the 34" tires, the variance must have been much more and beyond tolerance. Anyway, wanted to post this here for future reference. Thanks all.

Interesting - our 13' g3 ran 305's/ 34's and never had an issue, but I think the newer systems are quirkier.... glad it's resolved. How you liking the JWO springs ?
none of that was an issue on the 55 with more lift and 35's , but it will trigger an ESP light if I huck it into a turn or spin the tires when turned.
