I have this stalk on the upper right side of my steering wheel. It only goes back and forth and there is NO MENTION of it in the manual or anywhere else I can find online.

What is it?
It looks like it should be some sort of sensor but it seems spring loaded (maybe) and looks to be made out of plastic.
Again... no mention of this in the manual that I can find.

Mine doesn't do that... I don't think that is what it is. I have seen what you pointed out here but I don't think that is what it does.
EDIT - It does appear that Limey Hooligan is correct. In looking up the keyless entry aspect of this in my manual... It doesn't mention the little square by name but I tried windows up/down a few feet away and the function doesn't work. However.... Get close to the handle and point the keyless remote "toward the handle" and the windows go up and down via keyfob.
