Has anyone had an issue with foggy/hazzy headlights? They are ever so slightly foggy. Had a headlight detailer look at it and said due to the design of the double glass, it’s impossible to fix. You can replace them and will fog due to the design. Not sure why it happens either. Any ideas on how to fix or is the detailer right?
The plastic offgasses VOCs and coats everything... Similar to when you leave your car parked for a long time and then the inside of your window has a film on it. You could try to take them apart to clean them... Or buy new ones. I have bought new headlights for all of my cars and trucks because I can't stand a cloudy looking headlight. The ones on my truck get replaced every few years as I keep it outside and the UV rays eventually cloud and yellow the lens. So I buy new ones... Or aftermarket...
Yikes! Vlad has them for $1400 EACH!! Don’t think I’ll be replacing them. Also was told these are permanent sealed glass lenses. Sounds like they won’t be getting back to clear.
