Anyone have any thoughts on solving the problem of a dim instrument cluster? At night I can clearly see the digital read out but during the day I can see almost nothing.
Mercedes doesn't sell the lcd, only the full cluster @ $2340 USD and atm no stock per MBUSA site. Save yourself a lot of cash by DIY the lcd replacement..
Watch the videos on how to remove the instrument cluster. You can buy puller tools for about $25. I just took a coat hanger, cut 2 pieces and bent it in the appropriate spots. Took me about an hour to swap it out.
