Intermittent no heat on drivers side? '17 G550

Intermittent no heat on drivers side? '17 G550
Well my wife's G is acting up.
It's a 2017 G550 with 50k miles.
Just moved to a very remote location and it's already winter.
This week she got into it and there was no heat on the drivers side at all (no defrost or passenger vents) but full heat on the passenger side, HOT heat as you'd expect.
The next day, heat everywhere as normal. Weird. Next day, no heat drivers side again when she went to go to work. In the afternoon when she left, heat again.
ARG!!! Consistently inconsistent.
Any ideas where to look and what to do? We live about 900 miles from a MB dealer now so that's not an option.
I feel maybe the blending flaps are intermittently working but she doesn't change the 'zones' being used between the days it works and doesn't work. Unless maybe they 'reset' between run cycles and sometimes it's not activating?
Any ideas or people who have previously dealt with this?
