My 2010 G550 only locks and unlocks while standing in front of the driver door and having the key out of my pocket.

The truck will not lock or unlock with the key from anywhere else.

I’ve tried changing the battery to the key, but still having the same problem.

Has anyone experienced this? What’s the problem and how do I fix it?

"Anywhere else" includes the same proximity from the passenger door and cargo door? Have you tried both key fobs?

Correct. The truck will not lock/unlock using either key fob if I’m standing directly next to any of the passenger doors or directly next to the cargo door.

If I’m getting something from the trunk or the passenger side of the car, I have to walk back to the driver side door to actually lock the truck up and vice versa to unlock.
