Titanium Exhaust

A friend of mine is contemplating swapping the OEM exhaust on their 2016 G63 for a set of titanium exhausts.

It seems Akrapovic are the top of the line when it comes to titanium exhaust, but their cost is pretty astronomical.

463 Industries also offers a set of titanium exhaust for a 2016 G63 at a considerably lower cost. They have a cool blued look, but they’re also more of an unknown to me.

Does anyone have experience swapping out the OEM exhaust on a G63 for a titanium exhaust system? Am I missing any companies that sell titanium exhaust besides Akrapovic and 463 Industries?

I ran an Akra on my widebodied C63 w/ MBH headers and a a ton of other mods- amazing exotic sounds but at one hell of a price if you're not getting it used, as I did - for a third of orig sticker.
I love the tip/ bezel they cast for the G....

A used set of Akrapovic would be fantastic, but no idea where to find that.

Ebay or sites like this - but that's a unicorn tear for the G version....

A good shop with a mandrel bender could do a non-titanium main Stainless setup with Titanium tips if you had to have those...it's fairly straight pipe. I have the Eurowise setup and really like it on my g55. - bit of drone at 90 or so but the tires almost compete with it....

Do you know anyone/anywhere that sells this? I'd love some stainless free flow headers + a nice exhaust system but they're hard to come by and the prices for new ones are, as you said, ridiculous.

On the headers...... I don't think there are a set off the shelf. They exist for the 55 and 63.... someone may chime in with an option. The exhaust option are a bit better, MBRP is plug and plag and does give better clearance with the turndown vs. tips, and is a bargain at 1200 or so....

Eurowise offers some options - I am very impressed with build quality and tone on my 55 setup.... albeit it's a bit on the "sporty" side..

And there are a few other options on Ebay etc....

There is a lot to exhaust engineering. Very few aftermarket companies can get it right. I am willing to put good money down that OEM AMG exhausts sound better than any aftermarket/custom setup anyone can come up with. If you are changing it out for clearance, then yes, but if you are changing for sound, very little chance the upside is going to outweigh the downsides like drone/volume/tone etc...
