My G wagon is a G300TD W463 1997 is upgraded with ORC springs +40mm, Hutchinson rims and 285/75x16, that looks cool (I think), but my trailer hitch (standard Oris D 96/4 3500kg) is now ca10cm too high above ground...
I need to replace the trailer hitch with a TÜV approved trailer hitch that drops the ball/coupling ca10cm or 4".
I would prefer to have a "square mount" so I can unplug the ball if needed in an easy way...
My rear bumper is in one piece (not split)...
I have tried some googling, but no luck so far. Any tips much appreciated!!
Try curtmfg.com. If your current hitch ball is not removable (does not have a square receiver and pin), the complete frame hitch assembly will likely need replacing.

I just searched the Curt site and found only 2250kg trailer hitch (2002 model G500), not anything before that...
