2008 G 500 Accessories Not working and CEL
Hi,
I own a 2008 G500 that recently threw a check engine light; now the lights, radio, A/C, and stereo will not work after starting and shutting down the engine. However, if I take the key out of the ignition and then put it back in and restart the car, the all accessories work! Sometimes, I have repeat this process two or three times for the accessories to work.
I ran OBD and received a P0600 error code. Once I cleared the code, the car worked fine for about three days then the CEL came back on along with the problems mentioned earlier. Can anyone tell me what is the likely part or module that needs to be replaced?
Thanks!

on my 08' 55 everything started going wonky and christmas lights on the dash when it got cold - a new battery made everything better.... a fairly good item to baseline - more techie members may have more feedback on the specific codes... also might cross post to Clubg Wagen - wider older G audience. https://clubgwagen.com/forum/index.php

Thank you for the battery suggestion. I will check the battery voltage. also, I appreciate the clubg wagen forum info. Will post my findings later.

I don't know where the fuse would be for those, but on my 2005, both the cargo area 12V socket and the rear seat center console 12V socket are on constant 12V, so always on. It may make sense to check the fuse panel on the driver side dash.

An update on my post. I discovered that I had a bad key. Once I replaced the key everything is working fine now, including all accessories. Go figure!
