Oil pump solenoid - disconnect?

I ran across this modification, and it sure seems to make a lot of sense for M157 engines - has anyone here heard of this or done it to their G?

We did this to our E63 as part of the build.... Suggested by our shop.

@skiracer welcome to the community. Just joined and already looking at mods, I love it!!!! We need more guys like you.

I am intrigued and willing to try it. I looked in engine bay and in W463 M157, I can't see or locate the solenoid at the 7'o clock position from crank from above or from the side. At a minimum, front skid plate needs to come off or radiator fan needs to come out.

If you have success locating and getting access to connector, post up here.
