Engine Control software update
I recently received an "emissions service campaign notification to perform an Engine Control Unit Software update 2022080005 on my 2015 G63 of which my VIN was included. I thought I was doing the right thing and took it to dealer for this update. Upon return of my truck I'm finding some really bad/annoying consequences of this update.
1) From cold start, idle takes nearly 7-8 mins to drop below 1k RPM's. Before update, it would drop in under 2 mins. Even after engine is warm, still takes longer for idle to drop.
2) Upshifts/Downshifts in comfort mode are horrible. Slow to downshift when coming to a stop and quick to upshift to 6th or 7th under moderate speeds.
3) Throttle response when you need quick power is even slower than before and hesitates downshifting when you need quick power and mash the peddle
I've resorted to driving in sport mode nearly all the time. Anyone else do this recall update and if so what are you impressions? Any chance I could ask them to reset back to old settings?

I've received that letter too with the veiled threat of possibly not passing emissions for administrative reasons whenever I bring the car in next. I have HPTuners for mine so I'll just backup my current tune and see if I can refrain from having them update it. Thats a huge bummer that the shifts and throttle response suck!
