Buying Advice on 2010 G550?
Hello everyone. I'm looking at purchasing a G550. I'm looking at a 2010 G55, 138k miles, one owner or a 2013 G55 144k miles, two owners.
- Which would be more reliable out of the two? I'll be doing a pre purchase inspection.
- Is it worth getting the G55 over the G550? My plan is to keep it for at least 10 years. I want to have the most trouble free experience as possible owning it but I have a good indy shop near me to help with any repairs or maintenance.
- Does the rust issue affect all G550's? I'll be driving through snow on the way home with either G550. Can I just run it through a car wash and keep it inside the garage after?
- Any other buying advice?

Do you have any insight on the maintenance history? Given that both are close in mileage, the condition and maintenance history may be the biggest indicator going forward. Spotty maintenance will show itself as you get to higher mileage.

Rust is your main concern. You must get a thorough undercarriage inspection and wash the undercarriage after every winter drive.
