G63 Radiator fan removal

I've been chasing oil leaks on my 2017 G63, but was a fool and skipped the oil cooler when I did the the filter housing thermostat. I've still got a very slow drip from the bottom drivers side front of the engine. Hoping someone can sanity check my plan of attack.
  1. Drain Coolant and Oil
  2. Remove radiator fan (if anyone has a guide or the steps that'd be great)
  3. Remove belt tensioner
  4. Remove oil cooler
  5. Replace oil cooler gasket and reassemble fill fluids
What I'll replace in there:
  • Oil cooler gasket P/N: 2781840080
  • Belt tensioner P/N: 2782000570 <- Thinking Gates unless there are reasons to spend triple for OEM
  • Serpentine belt P/N: 0029936796
Is here anything else I should change out while I'm down there (I've already done the thermostat cap and the main thermostat)?
  • Do I need to replace the cooler itself?
  • I keep seeing that I should replace the turbo coolant lines, but which ones?

You did filter housing thermostat but what about the seal for that to the block? That is more towards the driver vs the cooler. Unfortunately I cant help with your plan of attack since this was the only seal I did not replace myself and someone else did while they were in there for an oil solenoid connection leak. That leak is technically on the passenger side but near center. Make sure to check your harness to make sure no oil is wicking while you are diagnosing.

the filter housing to the block is bone dry, I’m fairly confident it’s the cooler unfortunately. I did have some wicking from 1 cam sensor so I cleaned, swapped and tossed in sacrificial pigtails all around and she’s running well. I went ahead and ordered all the coolant lines because what the heck I guess.

Great call on the turbo coolant lines. They are essentially the only thing in there that can leave you stranded. I had one fail at 50k miles on my '16.

Getting the radiator fan out as you discovered is super easy....just don't forget the small 10mm bolt on the bottom when you put it back in. I did my thermostat cap and coolant lines a year ago and all good. I also went with new coolant...why not.

yeah I did the oil thermostat cap about a month ago without pulling the fan and it was fine, I also did the regular thermostat. But I figure between that drain and this drain I’ll be at all new coolant haha
