My 2016 is my third vehicle so it has low miles (48k miles), driven a couple times a month. Indie shop said plugs are overdue. They've never done me wrong, so I told them to go ahead. Well, the old ones look completely fine despite being 10 years old. I think I'm going to stop going by the book. I have a feeling even with minimal maintenance this vehicle is going to outlast me.
About 50k miles is when you should do plugs. G has the big V8. Those plugs do look fine but honestly why make it a problem? One day you start it up and get a CEL light and rough idle. Not fun.
At 48k miles and 10 years, they were probably fine. But you changed them, so no worries for another decade. Going by the book on a low-mileage truck is overkill. Sounds like you and that G550 will be fine.
You never know how plugs are going to look until you've pulled them all, and once they're out you might as well spring for the cost of a new set. I replaced my Rubicon's "100K mile" plugs at 60K, and they should have been done at least 10K sooner.
